Awareness of Approaching Death?

Question

Are people aware that they are going to die prior to their death?

If yes, where does this awareness come from? If it’s from their physical consciousness, can people who are not physically conscious (e.g people in a coma) also feel it?

    Yes, very often they are. However, I think that it requires a certain spiritual awareness for a person to recognize that the day of their passing from this world is fast approaching. This would explain why it is that many, if not most, people do not have any inkling that their time here is drawing to an end.
