General Purpose Studies
Good afternoon,
I was hoping I might be able to ask you guys if there might be a general purpose book for Torah studies, that would be useful for gentile studies?
Long story short, I’m trying to find my Faith, and as a person I feel like the only way to know where you’re going is to know where you’ve been, and that means that the Torah is important context to be able to fully see the New Testament in the proper light. To me, anyway.
I’d be appreciative of anything that might have translations, but I’m mostly hoping for something that has a good index of commentaries from noted scholars in English if possible.
Thank you in advance, your time is appreciated.

There is a plethora of well-written, thought provoking literature about Judaism that are easily available.
Personally, I would recommend the following books to begin with which, hopefully. you will find both informative and fascinating:
Permission to Believe by L. Keleman
Permission to Receive by L. Keleman
Living Up to the Truth by D. Gottlieb (which is actually downloadable for free from the Ohr Somayach web site – www.ohr.edu).
