Answers
In general, there is a prohibition against uprooting fruit trees. However, under certain circumstances it is permissible to do so. For example, if they pose some form of danger. If the trees can be uprooted and moved to another location (not necessarily in your garden), that would be preferable. But, if it is not possible, the trees can be cut down. If they are being cut down, it would be preferable to have a non-Jew do the cutting.
