Problems With In-Laws

Question

I have had ongoing issues with my in-laws and have not been able to reconcile differences so have peace at a distance. Is it ok to not have them over at my house in order to retain shalom bayit or is this going against kivud av vem?

    Whilst I truly empathize with your situation it is almost impossible for me to answer your question responsibly without being privy to the issues and the family dynamics. Personally, I think that your best option is for you and your husband to turn to your Rav and to ask him for advice and Halachic direction.
