What is the difference between Sepharadic Jews and Ashkenazic Jews?

    Nothing really. They are all Jews and they all belong to the Jewish Nation. The real difference is geographic. The Sephardic Jews all trace their roots to the Middle Eastern countries (including Spain, which is Sefard in Hebrew, and hence the nomenclature Sephardic). The Ashkenazic Jews trace their way back to Western and Eastern Europe (the name Ashkenaz means Germany in Hebrew). There are some minor differences within the way that some of the Commandments are kept and the prayers are offered.
